Its mission is :
“Supporting Higher Education Institutions in Wales in achieving value for money for stakeholders through the adoption of a strategic approach to collaborative procurement”
Funded by members, for members, it embraces an inclusive working methodology, and strives to deliver policies which support the delivery of members’ strategic objectives in an increasingly competitive and challenging environment.
Members currently benefit from access to over 100 collaborative agreements across a range of commodities including, but not limited to: IT hardware and software, buildings and estates, books and publications, catering, fixed and mobile telecommunications, laboratory equipment, office products, office and residential furniture, professional services and business travel.
Approximately 30% of institutions’ influenceable expenditure is placed through collaborative procurement arrangements each year, achieving savings for members in excess of £5M.
In addition the consortium promotes procurement best practice and training and development opportunities which are available via the HE and wider public sector network.
